Minority Women Student Union

Hi Lowell! We are Lowell’s Minority Women Student Union (MWSU), a club based on creating a community with female identifying minority students at Lowell. As a club we aim to create a safe space for students through bonding activities, learning about opportunities available for minority students, and learning about the achievements of minority women in history. This club was founded by Maya Leiva (25’) in hopes to create a safe space for minority women like themselves. During the school year, we hope to meet amazing Lowellites interested in creating a supportive community and supporting our fellow cultural clubs during their time of celebration, along with celebrating National Women's History Month in March. EVERYONE is welcome to stop by our club meeting to learn more about different cultural backgrounds and play games. If you enjoy laughing, listening to music, making new friends, doing crafts, and learning more about historical minority women, this club is for you! Check out our instagram for updates on club meetings or if you have any questions. We can’t wait for you to be part of our MWSU family!
